Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Morton Panthers (Morton, MS), 43-23 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Northwest Rankin advances its record to 9-3 on the year. The Cougars host Starkville (Starkville, MS) to meet the Yellowjackets in a non-league match on Saturday, December 7. The Yellowjackets enter the match with a record of 7-3. Starkville won 61-37 in their recent non-league match against Columbus (Columbus, MS)

The Panthers now own a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northeast Lauderdale for a non-league match on Thursday, December 12.
