December 6, 2024: New Orleans, LA 70124 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Carmel Cubs (New Orleans, LA) and the visiting Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA), observed Mt. Carmel's basketball team knock off Newman by a score of 44-32.
The Cubs (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Edna Karr (New Orleans, LA). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 8-0 record. In their last challenge, Edna Karr prevailed over Chalmette (Chalmette, LA), 63-17, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Greenies encounter the East Jefferson Warriors (Metairie, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 10. Newman will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 32-22 non-league loss to Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA).
