The Gretna Hawks basketball squad (Gretna, VA), was nudged 19-17 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Prince Edward County Eagles (Farmville, VA)

With the victory, Prince Edward County advances its record to 2-1 on the year. The Eagles travel to Altavista (Altavista, VA) to meet the Colonels in a non-league battle on Monday, December 9. The Colonels enter the battle with a record of 0-2. Altavista lost 47-24 in their recent non-league battle against Brookville (Lynchburg, VA)

The Hawks now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tunstall for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 10.
