California High School Basketball - Corning holds off Gridley

The Corning Cardinals basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Gridley Bulldogs to 51 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now have a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Las Plumas for a non-league game on Saturday, December 7. Corning will confront a Thunderbirds team coming off a 56-10 non-league win over Willows (Willows, CA). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Gridley falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Red Bluff (Red Bluff, CA) to confront the Spartans in a non-league game on Saturday, December 7. The Spartans go into the game with a record of 1-1. Red Bluff won 46-44 in their recent non-league game against Orland (Orland, CA)
