In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Alvarado Indians basketball team scored a close 62-58 triumph over the West Trojans.

The Indians (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Young Men's Leadership Academy (Fort Worth, TX). The go into the non-league contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Young Men's Leadership Academy nipped Trimble Tech (Fort Worth, TX), 38-34, in a non-league contest.
