The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the China Spring Cougars (China Spring, TX) and the host West Trojans (West, TX), observed China Spring's basketball team overwhelm West by a score of 66-39.

The Cougars (17-8) will now prepare for their battle against Gatesville (Gatesville, TX). The Hornets enter the 4A Region III District 23 battle with a 16-7 record. In their last battle, Gatesville was crushed by Lake Belton (Temple, TX), 76-71, in a non-league battle.
