December 6, 2025: Vernon, TX 76384 The Vernon Lions (Vernon, TX) basketball tipped the visiting Archer City Wildcats (Archer City, TX), 52-51 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Lions (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Quanah (Quanah, TX). The Indians come into the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record.
The Wildcats now own a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bryson for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 9. Archer City will meet a Cowboys squad coming off a 62-48 non-league loss to Covington (Covington, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 2-6.
