California High School Basketball - Central East thwarts Liberty

December 6, 2025: Bakersfield, CA 93312

Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Central East Bengals (Fresno, CA) and the host Liberty Patriots (Bakersfield, CA), witnessed Central East's basketball squad prevail over Liberty by a count of 82-73.

With the victory, Central East advances its record to 2-3 on the year. The Bengals travel to Atascadero (Atascadero, CA) to meet the Greyhounds in a non-league battle on Thursday, December 11. The Greyhounds enter the battle with a record of 4-2.

The Patriots now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to East Bakersfield for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 10. Liberty will battle a Blades team coming off a 63-28 non-league loss to Garces Memorial (Bakersfield, CA). The Blades record now stands at 1-6.
