December 6, 2025: Truth or Consequences, NM 87901 The Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM) basketball crushed the host Hot Springs Tigers (Truth or Consequences, NM), 60-32 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Fighting Colts now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lordsburg for a non-league bout on Thursday, December 11. Silver will play a Mavericks team coming off a 67-38 non-league loss to Cobre (Bayard, NM). The Mavericks record now stands at 2-3.
With the loss, Hot Springs moves to 2-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM) to encounter the Bears in a non-league test on Tuesday, December 9. The Bears come into the test with a record of 3-1. Wingate won 47-45 in their recent non-league test against Dulce (Dulce, NM)
