Desert Scorpions (Edwards AFB, CA) backers went home thrilled Saturday as they saw their basketball team tip the host Boron Bobcats (Boron, CA), 52-51 in a non-league contest.

The Scorpions (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Rosamond (Rosamond, CA). The Roadrunners enter the High Desert match with a 2-4 record. In their last match, Rosamond was nudged by Tehachapi (Tehachapi, CA), 40-33, in a non-league match.

The Bobcats now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bishop Union for a High Desert match on Friday, December 12. Boron will confront a Broncos team coming off a 38-37 league win over Kern Valley (Lake Isabella, CA). The Broncos record now stands at 6-1.
