In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Palmview Lobos basketball team scored a close 42-35 win over the Donna Redskins.

The Lobos (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Cigarroa (Laredo, TX). The Toros come into the 5A Region IV District 30 contest with a 9-9 record. In their last match, Cigarroa tipped Martin (Laredo, TX), 63-32, in a non-league match.

The Redskins now own a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mercedes for a 5A Region IV District 32 match on Tuesday, December 9. Donna will face a Tigers squad coming off a 98-40 non-league loss to Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 3-12.
