New Mexico High School Basketball - Magdalena defeats Texico
December 6, 2025: Magdalena, NM 87825 The Magdalena Steers (Magdalena, NM) basketball thwarted the visiting Texico Wolverines (Texico, NM), 59-49 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Steers (5-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Alamo Navajo was knocked off by Springer (Springer, NM), 53-45, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Wolverines encounter the Tucumcari Rattlers (Tucumcari, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 9. Texico will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Rattlers come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 39-36 non-league win over Eunice (Eunice, NM).
