The Campo Verde Coyotes (Gilbert, AZ) basketball knocked off the host Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), 70-61 in Friday's league test.

The Coyotes (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Combs (San Tan Valley, AZ). The Coyotes go into the non-league test with a 10-2 record. In their last test, Combs was beaten by Florence (Florence, AZ), 53-51, in a non-league test.

The Prospectors now own a 0-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tempe for a II Section III test on Tuesday, December 11. Apache Junction will clash with a Buffaloes squad coming off a 81-61 league loss to Saguaro (Scottsdale, AZ). The Buffaloes record now stands at 5-4.
