The PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays (Petersburg, IL) basketball nipped the visiting South County Vipers (Franklin, IL), 56-53 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Bluejays (7-0) will now prepare for their test against North Greene (White Hall, IL). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 1-7 record.
The Vipers now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Routt Catholic for a non-league test on Friday, December 9. South County will encounter a Rockets squad coming off a 63-36 league win over Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia (Concord, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 5-1.
