December 6, 2022: Beardstown, IL 62618 The PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central Bluejays (Petersburg, IL) basketball nipped the host Beardstown Tigers (Beardstown, IL), 42-35 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Bluejays (6-0) will now prepare for their test against South County (Franklin, IL). The Vipers go into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, South County was edged by New Berlin (New Berlin, IL), 44-27, in a non-league challenge.
Next up, the Tigers confront the Bushnell-Prairie City Spartans (Bushnell, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 9. Beardstown will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 59-36 non-league win over Galva (Galva, IL).
