North Carolina High School Basketball - Roxboro Community overwhelms Southern Wake Academy
December 7, 2022: Roxboro, NC 27573 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Roxboro Community Bulldogs (Roxboro, NC) and the visiting Southern Wake Academy Lions (Holly Springs, NC), saw Roxboro Community's basketball squad wallop Southern Wake Academy by a count of 50-29.
With the victory, Roxboro Community upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Oxford Prep (Oxford, NC) to play the Griffins in a 1A Conference 11 challenge on Friday, December 9. The Griffins come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. Oxford Prep lost 65-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Franklin Academy (Wake Forest, NC)
Next up, the Lions play the Research Triangle Raptors (Research Triangle Park, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 9. Southern Wake Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Raptors come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 65-38 non-league loss to Vance Charter (Henderson, NC).
