In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) basketball squad felled the host Parkersburg Big Reds (Parkersburg, WV), by a margin of 62-52.

The Vikings (4-0) will now prepare for their outing against Sissonville (Charleston, WV). The Indians go into the Cardinal outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Sissonville was beaten by Lewis County (Weston, WV), 71-70, in a non-league outing.

The Big Reds now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Hampshire for a non-league outing on Friday, December 9. Parkersburg will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 52-43 non-league loss to North Marion (Farmington, WV). The Trojans record now stands at 1-1.
