The Capital Cougars basketball team (Charleston, WV), was overwhelmed 75-16 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV)

The Vikings now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Point Pleasant for a Twin State battle on Thursday, December 1.

The Cougars (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Huntington (Huntington, WV). The Highlanders come into the Mountain State battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Huntington was overwhelmed by St. Albans (St. Albans, WV), 57-46, in a league battle.
