December 7, 2023: Bay, AR 72411 The Bay Yellowjackets (Bay, AR) basketball knocked off the visiting Gosnell Pirates (Gosnell, AR), 85-73 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Yellowjackets (11-7) will now prepare for their test against Cross County (Cherry Valley, AR). The Thunderbirds go into the 2A Region 3 test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Cross County went down by Rector (Rector, AR), 61-34, in a league test.
The Pirates now own a 3-1 record. They play next when they host KIPP Blytheville for a non-league test on Friday, December 8. Gosnell will encounter a Thunder squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Rivercrest (Wilson, AR). The Thunder record now stands at 0-9.
