The Ponaganset Chieftains basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the host Toll Gate Titans to 35 in the Chieftains league victory on Thursday.

The Chieftains now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Smithfield for a non-league contest on Monday, December 11.

The Titans (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI). The Mounties come into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Mount St. Charles Academy was defeated by Burrillville (Harrisville, RI), 53-41, in a non-league contest.
