December 7, 2023: Capitan, NM 88316 Capitan Tigers (Capitan, NM) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM), 47-31 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Capitan upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Ruidoso (Ruidoso, NM) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Ruidoso lost 53-37 in their recent non-league bout against Tularosa (Tularosa, NM)
Next up, the Warriors play the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. Socorro will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Elks/Elkettes go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 38-31 non-league loss to St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM).
