Michigan High School Basketball - Hancock crushes Ontonagon
December 7, 2023: Ontonagon, MI 49953 Hancock Bulldogs (Hancock, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Ontonagon Gladiators (Ontonagon, MI), 49-17 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Hancock upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Calumet (Calumet, MI) to play the Copper Kings in a Western Peninsula bout on Tuesday, December 12. The Copper Kings go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Calumet won 53-51 in their recent league bout against West Iron County (Iron River, MI)
Next up, the Gladiators play the Watersmeet Nimrods (Watersmeet, MI) in a Copper Mountain bout, on Monday, December 11. Ontonagon will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Nimrods go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 62-11 league loss to Johnston (Bessemer, MI).
