Virginia High School Basketball - Wilson Memorial nips Clarke County
December 7, 2023: Berryville, VA 22611 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets (Fishersville, VA) and the host Clarke County Eagles (Berryville, VA), saw Wilson Memorial's basketball squad hold off Clarke County by a tally of 50-49.
With the victory, Wilson Memorial improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Green Hornets travel to Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA) to play the Fighting Blues in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Fighting Blues come into the challenge with a record of 1-2.
Next up, the Eagles play the Skyline Hawks (Front Royal, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 8. Clarke County will attempt to improve on its 0-3 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 37-27 non-league win over Fauquier (Warrenton, VA).
