North Carolina High School Basketball - Laney overwhelms White Oak
December 7, 2023: Jacksonville, NC 28546 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) and the host White Oak Vikings (Jacksonville, NC), saw Laney's basketball squad wallop White Oak by a tally of 41-19.
With the victory, Laney improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host Pender (Burgaw, NC) to confront the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 8. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Pender won 71-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Richlands (Richlands, NC)
Next up, the Vikings confront the Jacksonville Cardinals (Jacksonville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 13. White Oak will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record.
