California High School Soccer - Wheatland nudges Center
December 7, 2023: Antelope, CA 95843 Wheatland Pirates (Wheatland, CA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Center Cougars (Antelope, CA), 2-1 in a league challenge.
Next, the Pirates confront the Ripon Indians (Ripon, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 8. Wheatland will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Bret Harte (Angels Camp, CA).
The Cougars now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Twelve Bridges for a Pioneer Valley League challenge on Tuesday, December 12. Center will confront a Raging Rhinos team coming off a 9-0 league win over Bear River (Grass Valley, CA). The Raging Rhinos record now stands at 1-4.
