In Saturday's non-league test, the King Mustangs (Corpus Christi, TX) basketball squad got by the visiting Pioneer Diamondbacks (Mission, TX), by a score of 36-29.

Next, the Mustangs encounter the Carroll Tigers (Corpus Christi, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 29 test, on Tuesday, December 10. King will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 9-9 record after their 52-32 non-league win over Rockport-Fulton (Rockport, TX).
