The Union Area Scotties basketball team scored 55 points and limited the host Monessen Greyhounds to 54 in the Scotties non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Scotties now possess a 4-0 record. They play next when they travel to Freedom Area for a non-league game on Monday, December 9. Union Area will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 61-50 non-league loss to Geibel Catholic (Connellsville, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Monessen falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Greyhounds host Charleroi (Charleroi, PA) to battle the Cougars in a non-league contest on Friday, December 13. The Cougars go into the contest with a record of 2-2.
