The South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) basketball toppled the visiting Butler Bulldogs (Matthews, NC), 44-24 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Sabres now possess a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Pinecrest for a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 11. South Mecklenburg will play a Patriots team coming off a 52-47 non-league win over South View (Hope Mills, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Butler falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Weddington (Matthews, NC) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 10.
