Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI) and the visiting Hale Eagles (Hale, MI), saw Alcona's basketball squad overcome Hale by a tally of 48-32.

With the victory, Alcona improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Hillman (Hillman, MI) to confront the Tigers in a North Star challenge on Friday, December 9. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Hillman won 61-40 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Mary Cathedral (Gaylord, MI)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Heston Academy Patriots (St. Helen, MI) in a North Star challenge, on Monday, December 12. Hale will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
