December 8, 2022: Wessington Springs, SD 57382 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Wessington Springs Spartans (Wessington Springs, SD) and the visiting Faulkton Trojans (Faulkton, SD), saw Wessington Springs's basketball squad knock off Faulkton by a count of 66-49.
With the victory, Wessington Springs upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Spartans host Hitchcock-Tulare (Hitchcock, SD) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 15. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Trojans play the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders (Miller, SD) in a B Region 6 challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. Faulkton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 45-33 non-league loss to Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (Forestburg, SD).
