Kentucky High School Basketball - Paris tops Powell County
December 8, 2022: Paris, KY 40361 Paris Greyhounds (Paris, KY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Powell County Pirates (Stanton, KY), 66-51 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Paris upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Bourbon County (Paris, KY) to play the Colonels in a District 40 bout on Friday, December 9. The Colonels come into the bout with a record of 1-2. Bourbon County lost 72-33 in their recent non-league bout against Mason County (Maysville, KY)
Next up, the Pirates play the Morgan County Cougars (West Liberty, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Powell County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 83-57 non-league win over Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY).
