Kansas High School Basketball - Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] knocked off by Jefferson West
December 8, 2023: Meriden, KS 66512 The Jefferson West Tigers basketball team scored 38 points and held the visiting Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones to 30 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Perry-Lecompton for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. Jefferson West will meet a Kaws team coming off a 71-43 non-league loss to Wellsville (Wellsville, KS). The Kaws record now stands at 1-2.
The Cyclones (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sabetha (Sabetha, KS). The Bluejays enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Sabetha ran past Royal Valley (Hoyt, KS), 60-40, in a non-league contest.
