South Carolina High School Basketball - South Aiken can't hold off Strom Thurmond

The Strom Thurmond Rebels basketball team scored 38 points and held the visiting South Aiken Thoroughbreds to 35 in the Rebels non-league triumph on Friday.

The Rebels now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aiken for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. Strom Thurmond will battle a Fighting Green Hornets team coming off a 64-44 non-league win over Silver Bluff (Aiken, SC). The Fighting Green Hornets record now stands at 5-3.

The Thoroughbreds (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Olympic (Charlotte, NC). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Olympic was nudged by South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC), 53-52, in a league contest.
