Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Blue River Valley Vikings (Mt. Summit, IN) and the host Cowan Blackhawks (Muncie, IN), saw Blue River Valley's basketball squad hold off Cowan by a tally of 33-29.

With the victory, Blue River Valley improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Vikings host Daleville (Daleville, IN) to confront the Broncos in a Mid-Eastern challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 3-6. Daleville lost 69-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Frankton (Frankton, IN)

Next up, the Blackhawks confront the Wapahani Raiders (Selma, IN) in a Mid-Eastern challenge, on Thursday, December 14. Cowan will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record.
