December 8, 2023: Blue Hill, ME 04614 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME) and the host George Stevens Academy Eagles (Blue Hill, ME), saw Central's basketball squad wallop George Stevens Academy by a count of 58-35.
With the victory, Central upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Red Devils host Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME) to play the Lynx in a C North challenge on Monday, December 11. The Lynx come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Mattanawcook won 57-19 in their recent league challenge against Calais (Calais, ME)
Next up, the Eagles play the Sumner Tigers (East Sullivan, ME) in a C North challenge, on Monday, December 11. George Stevens Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 44-33 non-league win over Deer Isle-Stonington (Deer Isle, ME).
