North Carolina High School Basketball - Mount Pleasant can't hold off Concord

The Concord Spiders basketball team scored 41 points and held the visiting Mount Pleasant Tigers to 37 in the Spiders non-league triumph on Friday.

The Spiders now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Norman Charter for a 3A South Piedmont contest on Friday, December 15. Concord will battle a Knights team coming off a 66-56 non-league win over Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC). The Knights record now stands at 1-6.

The Tigers (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Forest Hills was nudged by Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC), 79-18, in a non-league contest.
