The Kinston Vikings basketball team scored 43 points and held the host West Carteret Patriots to 21 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Greene Central for a non-league game on Wednesday, December 13. Kinston will face a Rams team coming off a 57-34 non-league win over Beddingfield (Wilson, NC). The Rams record now stands at 5-1.

With the defeat, West Carteret moves to 1-4 on the year. The Patriots host Southwest Onslow (Jacksonville, NC) to face the Stallions in a non-league game on Monday, December 11. The Stallions enter the game with a record of 1-4. Southwest Onslow lost 30-19 in their recent non-league game against Richlands (Richlands, NC)
