Illinois High School Basketball - Tri-City bests Cerro Gordo/Bement
December 8, 2025: Cerro Gordo, IL 61818 The Tri-City Tornadoes basketball team scored 53 points and limited the host Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos to 44 in the Tornadoes non-league triumph on Monday.
The Tornadoes now possess a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Warrensburg-Latham for a non-league game on Thursday, December 11. Tri-City will play a Cardinals team coming off a 87-52 non-league win over Meridian (Macon, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 6-1.
With the loss, Cerro Gordo/Bement falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Broncos host Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL) to play the Bombers in a non-league game on Friday, December 12. The Bombers come into the test with a record of 3-6. Argenta-Oreana won 60-56 in their recent non-league test against St. Teresa (Decatur, IL)
