Rich Township Raptors (Olympia Fields, IL) backers went home thrilled Monday as they saw their basketball team tip the visiting Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL), 40-39 in a league contest.

The Raptors (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Thornridge (Dolton, IL). The Falcons go into the Southland contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Thornridge nipped Thornton (Harvey, IL), 44-42, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Thunderbirds battle the Dyett Eagles (Chicago, IL) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, December 10. Thornwood will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 33-26 league loss to Perspectives Leadership/Technology (Chicago, IL).
