The Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm basketball team (Sauk Rapids, MN), was overwhelmed 76-35 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Alexandria Cardinals (Alexandria, MN)

The Cardinals now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Willmar for a AAA Section 8 battle on Tuesday, December 13. Alexandria will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 70-65 non-league loss to Brainerd (Brainerd, MN). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-1.

The Storm (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against St. Cloud Tech (St. Cloud, MN). The Tigers come into the AAA Section 8 battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, St. Cloud Tech trounced Columbia Heights (Columbia Heights, MN), 63-57, in a non-league battle.
