New Mexico High School Basketball - Artesia holds off Valencia
December 9, 2022: Los Lunas, NM 87031 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Artesia Bulldogs (Artesia, NM) and the host Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM), saw Artesia's basketball squad hold off Valencia by a tally of 38-36.
With the victory, Artesia improves its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Valley (Albuquerque, NM) to confront the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 10. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 4-2. Valley lost 48-44 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Jaguars confront the Deming Wildcats (Deming, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 10. Valencia will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 79-55 non-league loss to Alamogordo (Alamogordo, NM).
