Freedom Eagles (South Riding, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Briar Woods Falcons (Ashburn, VA), 47-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Freedom upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Eagles host Osbourn (Manassas, VA) to play the Eagles in a Cedar Run bout on Monday, December 12. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Osbourn won 55-39 in their recent league bout against John Champe (Aldie, VA)

Next up, the Falcons play the Millbrook Pioneers (Winchester, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Briar Woods will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
