Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the LaPoynor Flyers (LaRue, TX) and the host Central Heights Blue Devils (Nacogdoches, TX), saw LaPoynor's basketball squad wallop Central Heights by a tally of 70-45.

With the victory, LaPoynor improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Flyers travel to Center (Center, TX) to confront the Roughriders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 10. The Roughriders come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. Center won 56-48 in their recent non-league challenge against Hitchcock (Hitchcock, TX)
