Fort Hancock Mustangs (Fort Hancock, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sanderson Eagles (Sanderson, TX), 50-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fort Hancock upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Van Horn (Van Horn, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Van Horn won 54-49 in their recent non-league bout against Fort Davis (Fort Davis, TX)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Grandfalls-Royalty Cowboys (Grandfalls, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 15. Sanderson will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
