Florida High School Basketball - Port Charlotte can't hold off Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate

The Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate Phoenix basketball team scored 38 points and held the visiting Port Charlotte Pirates to 31 in the Phoenix non-league triumph on Friday.

The Phoenix now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cardinal Gibbons for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 10. Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate will battle a Chiefs team coming off a 69-50 non-league win over Evangelical Christian (Fort Myers, FL). The Chiefs record now stands at 6-1.

The Pirates (7-3) will now prepare for their bout against Western (Davie, FL). The Wildcats go into the non-league bout with a 5-2 record. In their last bout, Western held off Gulf Coast (Naples, FL), 51-47, in a non-league bout.
