The Port Charlotte Pirates basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Braden River Pirates to 28 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Pirates now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Barron Collier for a non-league contest on Friday, January 20. Port Charlotte will meet a Cougars team coming off a 43-31 non-league loss to Gulf Coast (Naples, FL). The Cougars record now stands at 13-10.

The Pirates (10-11) will now prepare for their contest against IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL). The Ascenders enter the non-league contest with a 10-9 record. In their last contest, IMG Academy was outscored by Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD), 67-31, in a non-league contest.
