Florida High School Basketball - Marco Island Academy can't hold off Donahue Catholic

The Donahue Catholic Shamrocks basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Marco Island Academy Rays to 35 in the Shamrocks league triumph on Friday.

The Shamrocks now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Community School of Naples for a 3A District 12 contest on Friday, December 16. Donahue Catholic will battle a Seahawks team coming off a 46-29 non-league win over Golden Gate (Naples, FL). The Seahawks record now stands at 6-1.

The Rays (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Moore Haven (Moore Haven, FL). The Terriers enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Moore Haven was nudged by Lake Placid (Lake Placid, FL), 50-38, in a non-league contest.
