Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Smithfield Packers (Smithfield, VA) and the visiting New Kent Trojans (New Kent, VA), saw Smithfield's basketball squad overcome New Kent by a tally of 50-34.

With the victory, Smithfield improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Packers host York (Yorktown, VA) to confront the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 14. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 3-1.
