North Carolina High School Basketball - Moravian Prep tops Carmel Christian

December 9, 2023: Matthews, NC 28105

Moravian Prep Lions (Hudson, NC) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Carmel Christian Cougars (Matthews, NC), 84-65 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Moravian Prep upgrades its record to 12-0 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Centerville (Centerville, OH) to play the Elks in a non-league bout on Sunday, December 17. The Elks come into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Cougars play the Mount Zion Christian Academy Mighty Warriors (Durham, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Carmel Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record.
