The Conneaut Spartans basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting St. John Fighting Herald to 65 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Spartans now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Perry for a Chagrin Valley - Lake contest on Wednesday, December 13. Conneaut will meet a Pirates team coming off a 64-52 non-league loss to Riverside (Painesville, OH). The Pirates record now stands at 0-1.

The Fighting Herald (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Pymatuning Valley (Andover, OH). The Lakers enter the Northeastern contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Pymatuning Valley ran past Harding (Fairport Harbor, OH), 73-65, in a league contest.
